Maui Gold is a beautiful clumping Colocasia with milky white petioles topped by pearlescent, lime green leaves that shimmer in the sun. It is one of those varieties whose beauty is not captured well in photos. It needs to be seen in person to truly be appreciated. Like many Colocasia, it thrives in moist to moderately wet conditions and can handle anything from almost full sun to shade, though it seems to grow best with about 4-6 hours of direct sun a day.
