Illustris has velvet to the touch leaves that only intensify in color as they age, making it a must have for any aroid enthusiast. The color contrast in its foliage between the true green and the reddish-brown/black patches of its leaves are stunning. It is also, when happy, a prolific producer of pups through runners. It thrives in moist but well drained conditions and can handle anything from full sun to shade, though it will grow best with at least 4-6 hours of direct sun a day.
